VDL Citea LLE Arriva ''Tegelbus'' Limburg version

The VDL Citea LLE in Arriva livery, better known as the “tile bus” thanks to the distinctive tile pattern on its sides.

Until December 2024, this bus was part of the public transport fleet in Friesland. When Arriva lost the concession to Qbuzz that month, dozens of these buses were redistributed across the country. Several found a second life in Limburg, where they now operate around Venlo. One bus, two provinces — a piece of Dutch public transport history preserved in 1:87 scale.

A scale model with more of a story than most, for those who experienced the 2024 transition themselves or have a personal connection to it.
